Horse Camp 2012

July 15-19, 2012

Horse Camp Registration Form 2012 (word doc, 62.0KB)

The Horse Camp Planning Committee is in full swing planning another awesome camp for July 15-19! With a variety of clinicians and specialists slated, it promoses to be anoutstanding event loaded with fun! All 4-H and FFA members are welcome to participate with your horse. If you don’t have one, you can still come, learn and have fun! (It’s also possible we can find a horse for you to use.) The cost of  this year’s camp is the same as last year at $125. That will include the cost of food for you and housing for your horse. Arrival will be between 3-4pm on Sunday with a potluck supper at 5 pm before families say good-bye. Campers will be able to leave after cleaning their stall and camping area on Thursday between 5-7 pm. The participants will stay overnight in tents or trailers behind the Circle E Stables. We’ll be learning some camping basics but still have what some would consider “luxuries” on the trail. On Thursday evening, parents and guests are welcome to come and watch their campers participate in a “fun show” that will include a variety of things the campers learned throughout the week. One of the focuses this year will be “preparing for a show” from bathing and grooming to entering the ring.

If you would like to participate but you have financial difficulty at the moment, there will be a limited number of $50.00 sponsorships available on a first come, first serve basis. Contact Terri if you would like an application for these sponsorships. Recipients of this sponsorship will be expected to work the food stand with at least one parent May 27 so your total sponsorship will be $50. Camp Sponsorship Request Form (pdf)

Due to the high interest already indicated in this camp and the fact we are limiting it to the first 24 participants, register ASAP to guarantee your spot in this great opportunity! Once you have registered, we will send you more information as camp nears.
