LGM-Dairy
Livestock Gross Margin for Dairy
Most dairy farm mangers agree it would be impossible to survive another financial hit like the recent one. Fortunately, dairy farmers can now insure their margin through a USDA ―revenue insurance program called LGM-Dairy.
The newly revamped program will now includes: an 18-50% premium subsidy, additional deductible choices, and premiums are now due after coverage expires, not up front.
The next LGM-Dairy Information and Training Session in Shawano County will be announced as they are scheduled. To register or for more information, call Katie Behnke at the Shawano County Extension Office at (715) 526-6136.
