All market lambs (that will potentially be exhibited at the Shawano County Fair) must go through initial weigh-in on May 4th, 5:00 to 6:30pm, at the Shawano County Fairgrounds.  There is no minimum or maximum weight at initial weigh-in.  All male animals must be castrated by initial weigh-in. Ear tags and DNA sample kits must be purchased from the UWEX office prior to species weigh-in day as animals must be ear tagged upon arrival to initial weigh-in. Exhibitors are responsible for sending DNA samples directly to the testing lab, with a postmark no later than May 8th.
