UW – Department of Entomology Insect ID
Identify insects with this online tool. Provides detailed photographs for identing variouis indoor and outdoor insects, also provides information about where their found and how to control these pests.
Iowa State University Entomology Image Gallery
Provides photographs and movies of insects and the damage they cause.
PestTracker – NAPIS Information
PestTracker is the public access web site of the National Agricultural Pest Information System (NAPIS), the agricultural pest tracking database of the US Department of Agriculture Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS).
Clemson Entomology Information Sheets

American Hosta Society
Site of the American Hosta Society – good information about the genus.
Hosta Library
Pictures and information about any hosta you might be interested in. The Hosta Library is primarily a database for images of mature hostas.
University of Connecticut Plant Database
Contains photographic and textual information on 450 trees, shrubs and vines that are useful for landscaping. The site includes a Plant Selector feature that enables the user to choose plants for their landscape situation based on criteria they supply. An online searchable plant terminology glossary and a dichotomous tree key are also provided.
Poisonous Plants (including mushrooms)
This website identifies many of the poisonous plants that grow in North Carolina. Many of these also grow in Wisconsin.
